"DSWD and CSWDD's Cash for Work Program Brings Joy to Nearly 1,500 Beneficiaries in Malabon City"

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in NCR, together with the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWDD), brought joy to almost 1,500 beneficiaries in Malabon City as they received their wages for the Cash for Work program. Each beneficiary received a total amount of P5,370 for 10 days of work.

The payout for the first batch of beneficiaries was successfully completed, and the second payout is scheduled to take place on March 22 for another 1,300 beneficiaries. The program aims to provide temporary employment to the residents who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to earn a decent wage while contributing to the community. The program not only provides immediate financial assistance but also helps the beneficiaries develop skills and experience that can be valuable for future employment opportunities.

The DSWD and CSWDD continue to implement programs that will aid and support the marginalized and vulnerable communities affected by the pandemic.
