A woman was arrested by the Makati City Police for sextortion after blackmailing a man whom she met on social media that she would not release his sensitive photos and videos to the public in exchange for money in a hotel in Poblacion, Makati, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.

The police identified the suspect as Anna Marie Nucom, 27 years old, a resident of Quezon City.

According to a report by DZBB, the victim met Nucom in an online dating site where they agreed to meet in a hotel in Makati City this month.

Upon arriving at the hotel, the victim noticed that the woman was behaving unusually, prompting him to cancel their supposed check-in. However, he failed to notice that the suspect had already taken his wallet, cellphone, passport, and other IDs.

The suspect contacted the victim asking for money in exchange for the stolen items. She also threatened him that she would send his sensitive photos and videos to his family and friends unless he gave her P10,000.

“Nag-send lang siya ng isang picture, which I think, yung nagbibihis lang naman ako. Pinangtatakot din niya yun na ise-send niya sa family at sa friends ko (She sent me a picture of myself while changing clothes and threatened me that she would also send my other photos and videos to my family and friends),” the victim said.

The victim reported the incident to the police, prompting them to conduct an entrapment operation in the same hotel the victim and Nucom met before.

Upon her arrest, police found out that the suspect had been doing the same modus operandi and had already victimized other men. They also retrieved more than 15 sensitive photos and videos of different men in her phone.

Nucom is now facing charges for robbery and extortion.
