Makati Mayor Abby Binay said the city government has rolled out its vaccination partnership with the private sector with the opening of a vaccination center for some 15,000 residents, employees, and service providers of Rockwell Land.

The mayor thanked the company for teaming up with the city government to establish the facility inside the Power Plant Mall according to the standards set by the Department of Health (DOH).

“We applaud the management of Rockwell Land Corporation for taking part in this strategic collaboration, which has resulted in the rapid setup of a vaccination site for their residents and employees right inside the mall. With safer and more convenient access, they are confident Rockwell can achieve 100 percent vaccination rate in no time,” Mayor Abby said.

The mayor said the city government has provided the vaccines and logistics, including needed medical supplies and cold chain storage. For its part, Rockwell has provided the vaccination team through its healthcare provider, Reliance United, along with the venue and tables, chairs and other equipment.

Mayor Abby also reiterated her call to businesses in the city to register their employees for vaccination under Category 4A through the website makatibusiness.safemakati.com. The requirements include the company’s Business ID and a complete list of employees to be vaccinated, among others.

“We are now going full blast with the vaccination of individuals under the A4 category at the vaccination sites in Glorietta 5 and San Lorenzo Place malls. We call on business owners and managers to prioritize the registration of their employees so they can avail themselves of the free vaccines and be safer at work,” Mayor Abby said.

Earlier, Mayor Abby announced that private firms need to comply with DOH standards in putting up their own vaccination sites.

Under City Ordinance No. 2021-094, private entities who wish to apply for their vaccination site registration must submit the requirements to the Office of the City Administrator together with their contact information.

This year, the city government has allotted a P1-billion budget to purchase vaccines for residents, city government employees, and employees of private companies and establishments in the city, including non-residents. The vaccines are expected to arrive this July.
