Makati mayor holds Tik-Talk to address concerns of residents
Mayor Abby Binay held the first-ever Tik-Talk with Mayora Abby at the Makatizen Hub located at SM Makati on Wednesday, March 29. The monthly program aims to address the concerns of the Proud Makatizens and bring city services closer to the residents, workers, and business owners of Makati.
During the event, Mayor Abby addressed each concern raised by the attendees, including issues on traffic management, security, and health services. She also gave updates on ongoing projects such as the construction of new city buildings, the rehabilitation of parks and playgrounds, and the implementation of the Makatizen Card system.
The Makatizen Card is an innovative program that provides Makati residents with a single identification card for accessing government services such as healthcare, transportation, and public utilities. Mayor Abby emphasized the importance of the card in streamlining city services and improving the overall quality of life of Makatizens.
The Tik-Talk with Mayora Abby was attended by various groups, including business owners, workers, and students. Participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and raise concerns regarding city services and programs.
Mayor Abby also used the occasion to encourage the public to participate in upcoming city events, including the annual Makati Poblacion Heritage Walk, the Makati Street Meet, and the Makati International Food and Music Festival.
The Makatizen Hub, which serves as the venue for the Tik-Talk with Mayora Abby, is a one-stop-shop for city services, such as processing of permits and licenses, payment of taxes and fees, and access to information and assistance. The hub also serves as a venue for various city events, seminars, and workshops.
Through programs like Tik-Talk with Mayora Abby and the Makatizen Hub, the city government of Makati aims to foster closer ties with the residents and create a more inclusive and responsive local government.
