Las Piñas City - Two exceptional athletes, Jocel Lyn Ninobla and Ana Alicia "Khate" Castillo, who proudly represented the Philippines at the recently concluded 2023 South East Asian (SEA) Games in Cambodia, paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar at City Hall on Thursday, June 1st.

Jocel Lyn Ninobla, an outstanding taekwondo athlete, brought pride to the city by clinching a Gold medal at the Women's Recognized Team Poomsae event and a Bronze medal in the Mixed Recognized Pair Poomsae event, showcasing her remarkable skills and versatility in the discipline. Jocel, an alumna of Divine Light Academy in Las Piñas, chose to return to her hometown to express her heartfelt gratitude to the city that played a significant role in shaping her journey.

Accompanying Jocel was Ana Alicia "Khate" Castillo, a talented basketball athlete, who secured a Silver medal at the Women’s 5x5 Basketball event. Khate, a proud graduate of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA in Las Piñas, showcased her skills on the international stage and contributed to the overall success of the Philippine team.
