In light of the upcoming transport strike, Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar has temporarily suspended face-to-face classes in public schools from March 6 to March 7, 2023, to ensure the safety of students and prevent any possible inconvenience to their daily commute.

The city's Schools Division Office is prepared to implement online classes as an alternative mode of teaching during the suspension period. Private schools in the city are also given the freedom to conduct classes in whatever mode they see fit for the benefit of their students, with school directors advised to coordinate with local authorities for further details.

Mayor Aguilar emphasized the importance of prioritizing the welfare of students and ensuring their continued education despite the ongoing challenges posed by the pandemic and other external factors.
