QC, Mandaluyong areas to have water interruption

The Manila Water Company (Manila Water) on Wednesday announced service interruptions due to its improvement activities in some parts of Mandaluyong City and Quezon City on Jan. 26, 27, 31 and Feb. 1, according to a report by Philippine News Agency.

In its advisory, Manila Water said the affected areas from 10 p.m. of Jan. 26 to 4 a.m. of Jan. 27 are parts of Barangays Daang Bakal (Haig, Gen. Kalentong, Romualdez), specifically in Haig corner New Panaderos Extension; and Harapin ang Bukas (Gen. Kalentong, New Panaderos Extension), particularly in New Panaderos Extension corner Neptali Gonzales, both in Mandaluyong City, for line meter and declogging.

From 10 p.m. of Jan. 31 to 4 a.m. of Feb. 1, the affected areas are parts of barangays Teachers Village East, Sikatuna Village, UP Village and San Vicente, all in Quezon City, particularly along Malaya corner Maginhawa Street for line maintenance.

The water company advised residents in the affected areas to store enough water during the service improvement activities.

Once water service is restored, it reminded affected customers to open faucets and flush toilets for a few minutes until the water becomes clear.

Customers can call Manila Water’s customer care hotline 1627 for updates or concerns.
