Manila Water announces services interrutpion in 5 cities
Parts of Taguig, Quezon, Manila, Makati, and Pasig, Antipolo cities, and Binangonan in Rizal province will go waterless from May 24 to 26 as Manila Water Company (Manila Water) has scheduled service improvement activities.
In its advisory on Tuesday, Manila Water said the affected areas from 10 p.m. of May 24 to 4 a.m. of May 25 in Taguig City are parts of Barangays Palingon and Calzada, specifically along F. Manalo, Bantayan, Ruhale, Virata and Lonton, for declogging, according to a report by Philippine News Agency.
In Quezon City, the waterless areas are parts of Barangays Vasra, University of the Philippines campus and Old Capitol Site, particularly in Commonwealth Avenue corner Elliptical Road, for line meter replacement.
In Antipolo City, the affected areas are parts of Barangays Dalig, and San Jose, specifically along Road to Teresa, Barangay Dalig, for line maintenance.
In Manila, the waterless areas are parts of Barangays 793, 882 and 881, particularly in Sta. Ana, for line meter and strainer declogging.
In Makati City, the affected areas are parts of Barangays West Rembo and East Rembo, specifically along JP Rizal corner Mabini Street and 2nd Avenue, for line meter replacement.
In Binangonan, the waterless areas are parts of Barangays Darangan and Calumpang, particularly along Manila East Road corner Bagumbayan Rotaryville, Kasinay Road near Mabuhay Homes and East Road corner Sitio San Juan, for line meter replacement.
From 10 p.m. of May 24 to 5 a.m. of May 25, the affected areas in Manila are parts of San Andres Extension Street, San Andres (Barangay 780), specifically along Tejeron Street corner Mabuhay Street, for declogging.
In Pasig City, the waterless areas from 10 p.m. of May 25 to 4 a,m. of May 26 are parts of Barangay Bagong Ilog, particularly in Pasig Boulevard fronting RMC Hospital, for interconnection.
The water firm advised residents in the affected areas to store enough water to supply their needs during the service improvement activities.
It also reminded them that once water service is restored, conduct flushing by letting the water flow out for a few minutes until it becomes clear.
