11,369 overseas Filipinos recover from Covid-19
Overseas Filipinos who survived coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) have reached 11,369 as of Saturday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said in a report by Philippine News Agency.
There were also 20 recoveries this week while active cases are 6,076 and fatalities 1,162 out of a cumulative 18,607.
From May 9 to May 15, DFA reported 70 new infections and three new deaths.
"Compared to last week's percentages, the total number of Covid-19 recoveries and fatalities saw a slight decrease to 61.10 percent and 6.24 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, those under treatment increased to 32.65 percent," it said.
Based on its latest monitoring, there are 3,794 Filipinos undergoing treatment in the Middle East/Africa region, 1,224 in the Asia Pacific, 943 in Europe, and 115 in the Americas.
Of the recoveries, the Middle East/Africa region has the highest with 5,913, followed by the Asia Pacific with 2,512, Europe with 2,319, and the Americas with 625.
