Caloocan celebrates nutrition month with zumba
Caloocan City, in line with the nationwide celebration of Nutrition Month, conducted a lively zumba activity at the Bidang Covered Court in Bagong Silang Phase 8A. Led by the City Health Department (CHD), the event aimed to promote physical fitness and hygiene among the community members.
The zumba activity brought together mothers, midwives, Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Nutrition Action Officers (BNAO), and Barangay Health Workers (BHW) who enthusiastically participated in the energetic dance exercise. With upbeat music and lively moves, the zumba session encouraged everyone to engage in physical activity and embrace a healthy lifestyle.
In addition to the zumba activity, the CHD also distributed FREE hygiene kits to the attendees. These kits contained essential items that promote cleanliness and personal hygiene, further emphasizing the importance of maintaining good health practices.
Mayor Along Malapitan expressed his gratitude to everyone who participated in the event and commended the CHD for organizing such a joyful and impactful activity. He highlighted the significance of promoting fitness and hygiene, especially during the Nutrition Month celebration, as it contributes to the overall well-being of the community.
