The Valenzuela City government is giving free school supplies to all public school students in the city for the upcoming academic year which starts on June 3.

The yearly Balik Eskwela initiative is among the myriad projects that comprise Valenzuela City and Mayor Rexlon “Rex” Gatchalian’s Education 360 Degrees Investment Program that benefits about 85,000 kindergarten and elementary pupils from public schools.

This year, the Valenzuela City government will provide each students with a backpack containing textbooks, notebooks, and other school supplies, such as multiplication tables, pencil cases with pencils, ballpens, sharpeners, and erasers.

Mayor Gatchalian, Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad-Borja, Rep. Wes Gatchalian, and other elected officials of the city helped distribute a total of 8,358 school supplies to kindergarten and elementary pupils in different barangays of the city’s first district on May 18. The following day, they distributed a total of 6,843 school supplies to pupils in the second district.
