Valenzuela's Paspas permit is aimed at pushing more efficient, fast, and convenient government transactions, particularly during the health crisis.
Gatchalian noted that online processing will "ensure a safe convergence free business permit renewal season."
Meanwhile, the city government has partnered with the Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) to cater to online payment transaction feature of the Paspas permit.
The collection service agreement of both parties includes the use of the UnionBank accounts for the payment options.
Under the payment option, the UnionBank account holders can easily pay for their business taxes with a zero-percent convenience fee or service charge.
The non-account holders, meanwhile, can still pay for their taxes online using the payment gateway at the lowest local rate of only 1 percent.
Through the Paspas permit, taxpayers can also pay using their Visa/Mastercard credit card or debit bank accounts.
Apart from this, taxpayers can also pay via UnionBank Online, UnionBank Business Banking, and through other selected banks through the PCHC PayGate.
“Don’t fall in line, go online!” Gatchalian urged residents to use the online system, noting that it is "safe, efficient and convenient" amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Businesses are urged to visit the website www.valenzuela.gov.ph, to access the online feature of business permit processing.
