Valenzuela starts post-election cleanup
Some Valenzuela City government workers started taking down all campaign materials in public places on Tuesday, a day after the 2019 midterm elections.
Zyan Caiña, city chief public information officer, said the immediate cleanup was being carried out upon the instruction of Mayor-elect Rex Gatchalian.
“Actually, two weeks before the election, the mayor already reminded us that we should immediate take down all campaign materials,” he said.
Caiña said the removal of campaign materials in the city of Valenzuela would be finished by Friday, May 17.
