At the grandest and most stylish celebration ever held at SM North Edsa, The Block Atrium in Quezon City on March 9, nine inspiring women received recognition from Barbie Philippines for their empowering work in their respective fields.
Taguig City Mayor Maria Laarni “Lani” Cayetano received the Most Inspiring Mayor award for her contributions to city management.
Other awardees included Alice Eduardo, president and chief executive officer of Sta. Elena Construction and Development Corporation, Charo Santos-Concio, former president and CEO of ABS-CBN Corporation, Victoria Gonzalez Belo-Kho, medical director of the Belo Medical Group, Senator Cynthia Aguilar Villar, Josefina C. Sincioco, president and CEO of Chef Jessie Restaurants, Carina Dayondon, the first Filipina to complete Seven Summits, Armie Jarin-Bennett, president of Nine Media Corporation and owner of CNN Philippines, and Joanne Rae M. Ramirez, editor-in-chief of PeopleAsia.
Barbie recognized these empowering women for teaching and inspiring other women that they can indeed be anything.
The awards marked Barbie’s 60th anniversary.
