The Quezon City Council passed a resolution urging the Quezon City government to increase the grant of allowance to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) personnel.
City Resolution 7653-2018, introduced by Councilors Precious Hipolito Castelo, Jose Mario Don de Leon and Ranulfo Ludovica, wants to recognize the significant role of the police force in maintaining peace and order in QC, considering its exposure to high-risk environments.
The City government shall take the funds for the allowance increase of QCPD from any available funds in accordance with the existing policies, rules and regulations.
“The efficiency and hard work of the police force should be appreciated and rewarded by granting benefits, in the form of allowance or honorarium, and also to address the rising economic cost of living and standards of the personnel of the Quezon City Police District,” the resolution reads.
It is the vision of the Philippine National Police to be a highly capable, effective, and credible police service towards the attainment of a safer place to live, work, and do business.
