Extreme enhanced community quarantine (EECQ)

Mayor Joy Belmonte explained that the extreme enhanced community quarantine (EECQ) is enforced in barangays with at least two confirmed cases in different streets and/or in congested urban poor areas where fast transmission of the disease is highly possible.

However, Belmonte said this is still subject to review everyday depending on the number of cases/recoveries.

The newly-reported barangays with two cases have not yet been included in the list because validation is ongoing.

As of 7 p.m. of March 25, the Quezon City government has subjected the following 13 barangays to EECQ:

Bgy.Tandang Sora, Bgy. Kalusugan, Bgy. Ramon Magsaysay, Bgy. Maharlika, Bgy. Tatalon, Bgy. Batasan Hills. Bgy. Pasong Tamo, Bgy. Central, Bgy. San Roque, Bgy. Paligsahan, Bgy. Bagong Lipunan ng Crame, Bgy. South Triangle, and Bgy. Culiat (added on March 25).

Belmonte said Bgy. Central does not have any COVID-19 case, but was included under the EECQ due to the presence of numerous hospitals along East Avenue.
