The Quezon City Veterinary Department sets up checkpoints in seven strategic places to prevent the entry of African Swine Fever-infected meat from neigboring provinces.  This followed reports that some piggeries in Rizal and Bulacan have been infected.

Now on their third day of operations, the checkpoints have confiscated 6.6 tons (6,600 kls) of meat suspected to be infected with the virus.
