Naging finalist ang programang Trash to Cashback ng Pamahalaang Lungsod Quezon sa CityNet Congress SDG Awards for Asia Pacific Cities and Municipalities na ginanap sa Kuala Lumpur. Mahigit 360 programa mula sa iba’t ibang bansa ang lumahok sa patimpalak.

Iprinisinta ni City Administrator Michael Alimurung ang programa sa SDG Awards. Nagbigay naman ng suporta sina Bianca Perez, Coun. Vito Sotto Generoso, chairperson ng Committee on Parks and Environment at Coun. Charm Ferrer, chairperson ng Committee on Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction para makamit ang finalist award ng lungsod.

Tanging ang entry lamang ng Quezon City mula sa iba-ibang delegado sa Pilipinas ang nakapasok sa finals.

Sa tulong ng programang Trash to Cashback maaaring ipagpalit ang mga naipong recyclables para sa 'environmental points' na magagamit pambili ng groceries or incentive bags.
