The Quezon City Government boosted its campaign against water pollution through a partnership with Pure Earth.

Through its Environmental Protection and Waste Management Department, QC signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the environmental group for the implementation of an HSBC Water Programme: Taking Action Against Rive Pollution.

The purpose of the MOA is for both parties to contribute to the reduction of pollution in Bagbag-Dario Creek and to develop an Integrated Water Quality Management Plan (IWQMP), which covers the conduct of various environmental activities such as clean-up drives, River Quality Monitoring (RQM), Fish Quality Monitoring (FQM), local awareness and capacity building trainings.

Pure Earth is an international non-profit organization dedicated into solving pollution problems in low and middle-income countries such as the Philippines.
