QC to mark 121st Philippine Independence Day

QC to mark 121st Philippine Independence Day

Quezon City Mayor Herbert M. Bautista will lead this year’s 121st Philippine Independence Day celebration together with Mayor-elect Joy Belmonte and the City Council on June 12 at the QC Hall compound.

The Quezon City Police District will welcome the guest of honor and lead in the hoisting of the Philippine flag while the Department of Public Order and Safety will ensure the orderliness of the wreath-laying ceremony and smooth flow of traffic in the compound.

There will be various ceremonies and programs to promote nationalism organized by the Quezon City Tourism Department with the theme: “Kalayaan 2019: Tapang ng Bayan, Malasakit sa Mamamayan.”

Cultural performances from the QC Teachers’ Chorale and E. Rodriguez, Jr. High School Company will also be held during the event.

The event will be covered live and can be viewed through the Quezon City Public Affairs Department Facebook page.
