As part of the city government’s commitment to alleviate poverty, the Quezon City Council passed a resolution allowing a facility in Barangay Mariana to be utilized for free livelihood trainings and seminars.

City Resolution 7632-2018, introduced by Councilor Raquel S. Malangen, authorizes Mayor Herbert M. Bautista to enter into a tripartite memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Lion’s President League of the Philippines (LPLP) and Barangay Mariana allowing the former to conduct livelihood trainings and seminars for the residents at the newly-built two-storey training center of the barangay.

“The LPLP has made its representations with Barangay Mariana and the  Quezon City Government to allow it  to continue its advocacy of providing free livelihood and skills training at the Barangay Mariana Training Center,” the resolution reads.
The facility was recently constructed by the city government as per request of Barangay Mariana for a venue to conduct free livelihood, skills and education trainings for its residents and the general public.
