Bistek praises QC’s 142 villages for helping craft city development plans
Outgoing Quezon City Mayor Herbert M. Bautista on Monday cited the key role of the city’s 142 barangays in crafting the city development plan.
Thanks to the key participation of the city’s barangays, Quezon City has been hailed as the most competitive city in the Philippines for three consecutive years for its outstanding performance in economics, government efficiency, infrastructure, and resiliency.
The city was also awarded the Seal of Good Local Governance by the Department of the Interior and Local Governments in 2017 and 2018.
“This is a recognition of everybody’s collective effort because we worked as team Quezon City,” Bautista said. “Our objective as governance advocates is to train our people to participate in local governance.”
