PNP reports 278 recoveries
The Philippine National Police's (PNP) coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) recovery tally reached 13,846 after 278 more police officers recovered from the illness, according to a report by Philippine News Agency.
In an update on Wednesday, PNP deputy chief for administration, Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, also reported that 208 police officers have contracted the disease.
This brought the PNP's cumulative number of Covid-19 cases since March 2020 to 16,430, with 2,544 active cases and 40 deaths.
Meanwhile, the number of police personnel who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 has reached 4,387, with 2,865 receiving China's Sinovac and 1,522 inoculated with the British AstraZeneca.
A total of 1,063 personnel have received the second dose of Sinovac jabs.
