PNP reports 24 new infections
The Philippine National Police reported 24 additional cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) among its employees, bringing the total number to 7,758, according to a report by GMA News.
Latest data from the PNP showed that total recoveries rose to 7,338 after 45 more personnel recovered from the illness.
One more police officer, meanwhile, succumbed to the disease, raising the death toll to 25.
So far, there are 395 active COVID-19 cases within the police organization.
Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 leapt to 412,097 including 374,666 recoveries and 7,957 fatalities.
Of the remaining 29,474 active cases undergoing treatment or quarantine, 83.8 % are mild, 8.3 % are asymptomatic, 2.7 % are severe, and 4.9 % are in critical condition.
