Pasig's Covid mortality declines
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto said mortality rate from Covid-19 in the city has declined since the outbreak of the disease in April.
Sotto in a Facebook post Saturday showed the infographics from their COVID-19 facility.
The infographics showed that as May 29, there have been 23 deaths due to COVID-19 and no fatality has been added recently.
Sotto said in the post that: “Of our patients with no co-morbidities, we have had no deaths. This is a good sign.”
The infographics also showed that of the 23 fatalities, 2 were dead-on-arrival at the hospital.
Overall, 276 persons were admitted while 172 have already recovered and discharged.
Out of the 276, 261 are Pasig residents while 23 are non-Pasig residents.
Pasig has been conducting mass testing through rapid test kits as part of the city government’s efforts to prevent the spread of the disease.
The local government has already set-up several quarantine facilities to make sure that those who test positive for COVID-19 do not put other Pasig residents at risk of infection.
