Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano has met with Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade to discuss how to smoothly and efficiently implement road and mass transit system projects in the city.

These projects include the Metro Manila Subway Project, the LRT-1 Cavite Extension Project, and the MRT-3 rehabilitation.

Calixto expressed willingness to help the DOTr in implementing any of its projects. She said the city government will make it easier for the agency to do its job.

The 11.7-kilometer extension of the LRT-1 line will add eight stations from Baclaran: Redemptorist, MIA, Asia World, Ninoy Aquino, Dr. Santos, Las Piñas, Zapote and Niog.

The DOTr aims to start partial operations of the LRT-1 extension’s first five stations by the last quarter of 2021.
