‘PASAY, The Rise of the Travel City’ coffee table book launched
Pasay City on Friday paid tribute to the nine consecutive years of service of former mayor and now congressional representative Antonino Calixto through the launch of a coffee table book at Le Parc Event Hall.
“PASAY, The Rise of the Travel City” celebrates the nine years of legacy achievements of the former mayor’s “inspired and sincere brand of leadership and good governance.”
Calixto thanked all the city officials, department heads, personnel, and constituents for their support for his plans, programs, and projects that spanned nine years of transforming Pasay into one of the premier cities of the Philippines.
“This coffee table book shows the evolution made possible by our former mayor, but stands witness to our people’s resilience. The changes we have seen and the stories behind those will be treasured and made available for our future generations,” former congressional representative and now mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said.
The coffee table book was formally unveiled and presented to Rep. Calixto and Mayor Calixto-Rubiano by Pasay City administrator Atty. Dennis B. Acorda and author and publisher Mandrew T. Velasco.
The Calixto siblings signed the books and distributed these to guests.
The book also highlights the history of Pasay and its timeline of events, including its customs and traditions; the local heroes, and well-known personalities in business, politics, and entertainment.
