Paranaque warns against fake social amelioration forms
Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez warned unscrupulous persons against selling fake social amelioration forms.
Olivarez said that the social amelioration form is not for sale and those who will be caught, a case will be filed against them by the city government.
He also called on the city residents to immediately report to the city government in case they encounter a person selling social amelioration form claiming it was issued by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
City residents can email at firstname.lastname@example.org such illegal activity including photos for the arrest and filing of case against the perpetuators.
Olivarez came out with a warning after 3,000 individuals rushed at the barangay hall in Baclaran last Tuesday carrying forms that allegedly came from DSWD to get the government’s assistance of P5,000 to P8,000.
It turned out that the forms were fake and were sold to residents.
The mayor said that it was also found out that the forms have no barcode. The 3,000 individuals expressed disappointment because they were already hoping that they could receive financial assistance from the government.
Olivarez said that they found out that the said forms were being sold at P10 each.
