Parañaque City has opened its second quarantine facility, which aims to help in containing the spread of COVID-19 in the area, according to a report by GMA News.

At a Laging Handa press briefing, Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the facility has a total of 84 rooms.

The facility, located in Barangay San Dionisio, also has four nursing stations.

Asked when it will cater to patients, the mayor said the facility would immediately be utilized.

According to Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., chief implementer of the government's efforts against the pandemic, patients from other cities can be accommodated in this new facility.

Galvez also praised the said city as the number of positive cases in the area is now below 100.
