Parañaque distributed “Paraña-Cash EON cards” to 4,000 residents of Barangay Sun Valley.

The cash assistance program aims to help the residents cope with the repercussions of the five-month-long community quarantine.

The said barangay is divided into three groups consisting of different villages and subdivisions.

Recipients from Sun Valley Subdivision, Sienna Park, Moonville, Aster, Daffodil, Amaia, Sun Valley Drive, St. Louie and Ramos Village were the first to receive the cash aid yesterday at Sun Valley Gym.

They were required to wear masks and face shields upon receiving the cash.

Beneficiaries from Countryside, Parkview, Culdesac, Cherry East, Marimar, Lions Park and Riverside are scheduled to receive the assistance today at the Sun Valley National High School from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Meanwhile, those in Annex 41, Annex 41 Upper, Annex 45, Sta. Ana, Sta. Anna Village, Monsod, Executive Heights and SMDC Spring Residence can pick up the cash grant tomorrow, also at the Sun Valley National High School.

Over 50,000 household members were selected to receive the subsidy.

“The EON card is an all-in-one internationally -accepted VISA-powered card which can be used as ATM or debit card and for online transactions,” Mayor Edwin Olivarez wrote in a post.

The cash deposited in the cards can be withdrawn until July 2025.

Beneficiaries from other barangays are scheduled in the following days.
