More passengers using PITX
The Department of Transportation over the weekend reported that the number of passengers using the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) was increasing with each passing week.
The DOTr said daily foot traffic at the PITX had already reached 71,569 on its peak day.
This figure was three times higher than the 19,192 passengers recorded in December 2018.
The transport department said the PITX had a total number of 55,313 in the first two weeks of the month, which was higher than the 9,861 recorded when it first opened in November last year.
DOTr Undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure Mark de Leon said the increasing number of users was a sign of the better experience of passengers who were using the facility.
“The PITX is not just an infrastructure project. It is also a platform that can change people’s behavior on commuting,” De Leon said.
