The city government of Navotas recorded Tuesday its lowest active Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases this year.

Mayor Toby Tiangco thanked Navoteños for their support and cooperation in upholding the fight against COVID-19.

“Our sacrifices and continued vigilance have paid off. Congratulations to us all. Let us keep our defenses up. Continue to practice the health and safety protocols, and complete your vaccinates, including your booster doses," he reminded.

Navotas last reported having three active cases on December 18, 2021.

“Now that the Department of Health has confirmed the local transmission of the more contagious Omicron sub-variant, we must be more cautious and work harder to limit its possible spread and prevent any more surges,” Tiangco said.
