Number coding suspended on April 12 to 15
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will suspend the modified number coding scheme from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 12 to 15, in line with the observance of the Lenten season, according to a report by CNN Philippines.
This was announced by MMDA Chairman Romando Artes during an inspection on Monday at the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).
“We are suspending the number coding scheme on Tuesday and Wednesday to provide the public unhampered mobility by allowing them to use their vehicles going to the provinces,” he said.
Since Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are regular holidays, the number coding scheme is automatically lifted, the MMDA said.
