Metro Manila athletes win SEA Games medals

Several athletes from the National Capital Region (NCR) won medals in the ongoing Southeast Asian Games.

The City Government of Makati cheered as University of Makati (UMAK) alumni, Mark Jayson Gayon and UMAK student, Mary Joy Renigen won the gold medal in the Dancesport – a competitive ballroom dancing. 

Makati City also congratulated Ms. Deanne Nicole Moncada of Brgy. Singkamas, Obstacle Course Races (OCR) Team Pilipinas 400m Team Assist Gold Medal finish. 

Meanwhile, the country was also in high spirits after the Philippines bagged the gold medal for Arnis.

University of Makati alumni and Arnis athletes, Carloyd Tejada and Mike Bañares for winning the gold medal in Arnis. 

Likewise, the City Government of Taguig took pride of Carloyd Tejada of the city’s Barangay Pinagsama in winning gold in Arnis. Tejada  bested Thanh Tung Vuong of Vietnam nabbing the gold medal in the Full Contact Arnis (Padded Stick) Welterweight - Men’s Division, making it the Philippines' 8th gold in Arnis. 

Meanwhile, the City Government of Valenzuela is rooting for Jeniel "Haze" Bata-Anon of Barangay Lawang Bato.

Jeniel is one of the seven members of the SIBOL Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Team representing the Philippines
