TNT went as much as seven, 89-82 at the 6:02 mark of the final frame with a Jayson Castro shot. Barkley Eboña sparked a 10-0 run to take the lead for Alaska, 92-82 with 3:18 left in the game. Pogoy connected from downtown to tie the game at 92 and eventually survived Alaska with eight more points.

Things got a little bit physical in the third period, leading to Poy Erram's ejection after incurring a technical foul late in the quarter. He was also given a flagrant foul early in the game. TNT and Alaska went neck and neck in the third frame to end at 72-71, in Alaska's favor.

Pogoy surged in the second period with 21 points from 5 triples. TNT and Alaska were tied at the end of the first half at 48.

"Kumpiyansa lang sa sarili. Pinag-pray ko ito na magagawa ko, and God blessed me," said Pogoy about his career-high performance, as reported by the league's website.

Alaska led by as much as 16 points at the first twelve minutes, 28-12, after a Robert Herndon trey at 3:17. The Aces had the upper hand at the end of the quarter, 30-15.

While Pogoy registered 45 with 10 of 17 from beyond the arc, TNT veteran Jayson Castro listed 28 points, the only other player who scored in double digits for Tropang Giga.

Abu Tratter topped the Aces in scoring with 17 points, while Mike Digregorio and Herndon chipped in 16 apiece. Vic Manuel made 15 points.
