MMDA Announces MMFF 2019 first four entries

First official entries to 45th MMFF bared

The largest, most popular, and highly anticipated 45th Metro Manila Film Festival is off to a great start as the first four official entries have been revealed.

The first four films that will form part of the official eight entries to the MMFF 2019 are:

  • (K) AMPON of Quantum Films, starring Derek Ramsay and Kris Aquino

  • Miracle in Cell #7 of Viva Communications, Inc., starring Aga Mulach and Nadine Lustre

  • Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity of Apt Entertainment, Inc. / M-ZET Production, starring Vic Sotto and Maine Mendoza

  • Momalland of ABS-CBN Film Productions, Inc. and Viva Films, starring Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis

The entries were chosen based on the following criteria:

  • Artistic Excellence: 40 percent

  • Commercial Appeal: 40 percent

  • Filipino Cultural Sensitivity: 10 percent

  • Global Appeal: 10 percent

The next four will be selected from among the finished films whose deadline is on September 20.
