After days in a coma following his hospitalization for a neck fracture he suffered while filming on set, Eddie Garcia passed away on Thursday, June 20, at 4:55 p.m.

Garcia tripped on a cable while filming for a television series on June 8. His head hit the pavement and he was rushed to the Mary Johnston Hospital.

On June 9, he was transferred to the Makati Medical Center, where he remained in a coma until he died at the age of 90.

The multi-awarded actor and director starred in numerous films, including Bwakaw, Rainbow’s Sunset, and Bahid.
