Oil firms announce price rollback this week

Oil companies announced Monday they will slash prices of petroleum products effective 6 a.m. Tuesday, according to a report by CNN Philippines.

Caltex, Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, PTT Philippines, and Seaoil will reduce per-liter rates of gasoline and diesel by P2.60 and P1.60, respectively.

Caltex and Seaoil will likewise adjust kerosene prices downward by P1.55 per liter.

According to the Department of Energy’s Aug. 30 oil monitor, there have been per-liter increases of P19.55 for gasoline, P37.80 for diesel, and P33.20 for kerosene since the start of 2022.
