Cebu Pacific resumes MNL-HK flights

Local carrier Cebu Pacific on Friday resumed flights to Hong Kong from Manila and Clark, and vice-versa, after cancellations and delays in flights the previous day.

“Our operations between Manila and Hong Kong, and between Clark and Hong Kong are normal so far,” said Charo Lagamon, corporate communications director of Cebu Pacific.

On Thursday, Cebu Pacific canceled two flights between Hong Kong and Clark, while another two flights, between Manila and Hong Kong, were delayed, reportedly due to bad weather conditions in Hong Kong.

Cebu Pacific said Hong Kong authorities limited the arriving flights from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. because of the bad weather and the lack of aircraft parking space.

Affected passengers of the delayed flights were provided with meals and refreshments, while those in the cancelled flights were given the option to rebook, reroute, or refund their tickets, Cebu Pacific said.

Passengers of the cancelled flights who opted for rebooking or rerouting were transported to Manila last night to take a Manila flight to Hong Kong.
