Cebu Pacific cancels 116 domestic flights for May 1-10

Local carrier Cebu Pacific on Tuesday announced the cancellation of 116 domestic flights scheduled for May 1 to 10, 2019.

In the announcement, Cebu Pacific said the cancellation was due to the carrier’s need to reduce the number of flights due to its current operating conditions, particularly at its Manila Hub.

Cebu Pacific said reducing the number of flights would create space for operational recovery, minimize delays, and give passengers the opportunity to make alternate travel plans.

“We are doing this because we have seen an unprecedented level of disruption to our operations, and our passengers are experiencing extended delays and some on-the-spot cancellations,” Cebu Pacific said.

The canceled flights are:

Cebu Pacific on April 24 canceled 24 domestic flights due to “operational limitations” and 48 flights scheduled for April 28 to 30 “due to unprecedented disruption to operation.”

Cebu Pacific said affected passengers from April 28 to May 10 would receive one round-trip travel voucher which they could use for a future flight.

They may also opt to rebook or reroute their flights, get a full refund, or place the full cost of ticket in a travel fund.
