Several Manila barangays to experience water interruptions
Temporary water service interruptions are expected in the following barangays in the City of Manila on August 20 and 21, 2019:
Barangay 124 to 127, 129 to 146, and 177
This as Maynilad Water Services Inc. on Thursday, August 15, announced that they will be conducting maintenance activities from August 20 to 21, 2019 in the following areas:
1. Interconnection of a 3.6 x 2.5-ft.-diameter water pipeline along C3 Road between A. Mabini and Dagat-Dagatan Avenue, Caloocan City
2. Replacement of a 2.6-ft.-diameter valve along C3 Road cor. North Bay Blvd., Navotas City
[STATEMENT FROM MAYNILAD]
“As a result, some Maynilad customers in parts of Caloocan, Malabon, Manila, and Navotas will experience temporary water service interruptions. Below is the list of affected barangays and their corresponding water supply interruption schedules.
We encourage our affected customers to store water at least three days before the interruption to prevent simultaneous heavy withdrawals of water from our pipelines, which can reduce water pressure and cause some customers to have no water earlier than schedule. Meanwhile, we have water tankers on standby, ready to deliver water to affected areas as needed.
Upon resumption of water service, customers should let the water flow out for a few seconds until the water clears.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience and understanding.”
