Isko finds poop on Bonifacio’s feet; PCP chief gets axed

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso on Wednesday stepped on a pile of human waste while inspecting the Bonifacio Monument across City Hall, prompting him to ask for head of the chief of the nearby police community precinct.

“There’s poop all over the monument. It’s close to the office of the mayor, and there’s shit everywhere!” Domagoso fumed.

He was conducting an inspection of Mehan Garden and the monument dedicated to Andres Bonifacio, about 50 meters away from City Hall, when he discovered piles upon piles of human waste at the back and at the base of the shrine.

“Here, I accidentally stepped on some,” Domagoso said.

Domagoso then ordered the relief of Lt. Rohwel Robles, head of the Manila Police District Lawton police community precinct, which has jurisdiction over the area.

Lamenting that the shrine had been turned into what he called the “biggest toilet,” Domagoso ordered MPD chief Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. to clear the area behind the shrine of vendors and other obstructions.

This was the second time that Domagoso had ordered the relief of a police officer due to dissatisfaction over performance.

The first time occurred on Monday when he asked for the heads of nine policemen and the chief of the Meisic police station in Binondo for allegedly extorting money from illegal vendors.
