The emergency room of Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center in Tondo, Manila will temporarily close from April 28 to May 5 after seven hospital staff contracted the coronavirus disease 2019.

Patients who will not be catered will also be coordinated to other Manila hospitals.

“Iko-coordinate naman po namin ang mga pasyenteng pupunta. ‘Di po sila basta-basta itataboy, i-evaluate pa rin po and may staff pa rin sa harapan for other concerns,” he said.

“Sana po maintindihan ng mga tao na ‘di po kami tumatanggi kaya lang talagang punuan po. ‘Di na po talaga kaya kasi ‘yong aming tent 20 na rin po ang pasyente doon,” Martin added.

Those with surgical and medical cases will be coordinated to the Ospital ng Maynila, while children and pregnant women will be relayed to Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital, Tondo Medical Center and Ospital ng Sampaloc.

Meanwhile, suspected COVID-19 patients would be coordinated to Sta. Ana Hospital.

Martin also said the two doctors, three nurses, and the radio and medical technologist who tested positive for COVID-19 were already isolated at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
