Malabon opens two new parks
Malabon City Mayor Antolin “Lenlen” Oreta III said two new parks opened in Barangay Longos to provide residents areas for walking, exercise, and relaxation.
Pinagsabugan Linear Park, opened on Dec. 13, is unlike traditional parks because it is longer than it is wide, while C4 Island Park, inaugurated Dec. 14, us located between Fishermall Malabon and the Malabon City Square.
Oreta reminded residents to keep the newly-opened parks clean and to avoid picking flowers and plants at the parks.
“Napakahalagang pagtulungan nating mapanitili itong malinis at maganda (It is very important that we work together to keep the parks clean and beautiful),” he said.
“Gusto nating damihan pa ang mga halaman kaya tulungan ninyo din sana kami at ang barangay–huwag ding bunutin ang mga halaman dahil malaking bagay iyan para maabsorb ang mga dumi sa hangin (We want to increase the plants in the parks so help us in the city government and the barangay – do not pick the plants because they play a big role in absorbing air pollutants),” he added.
