#MNCAdvisory: Makati road closures, traffic rerouting, June 28-30
The Makati City government will implement road closures and traffic rerouting schemes from June 28, Friday, to June 30, Sunday, to give way to the fiesta in Barangay Poblacion.
A portion of J.P. Rizal Avenue from Villena Street to Makati Avenue will be closed to traffic from 1 p.m., Friday, to 6 p.m., Sunday.
Motorists are advised to take the following alternate routes:
Vehicles going to Makati West-Side, The Circuit, or Manila (from Guadalupe)
For Light Vehicles Only: Along J. P. Rizal Street (District 1), turn left to Estrella Street, right to Rockwell Drive, right to Kalayaan Avenue (District 1), left to Makati Avenue, right to either Jupiter Street or Sen. Gil J. Puyat Avenue, right to N. Garcia Street (Reposo Street), and left to J.P. Rizal Avenue to destination.
For Public Utility Vehicles, Jeepneys, and Small Trucks: Along J. P. Rizal Street (District 1), turn left to Estrella Street, right to Edsa, right to Sen Gil J. Puyat Avenue, cross Paseo intersection, cross Makati Avenue intersection, right to N. Garcia Street (Reposo Street), and left to J.P. Rizal Avenue to destination.
Vehicles going to Guadalupe, Pateros, or Edsa (from Delpan or Eastbound)
Along J.P. Rizal Avenue from Delpan Street, take the Kalayaan Avenue, then turn right to N. Garcia Street, left to Sen. Gil J. Puyat Avenue, cross Makati Avenue intersection and the Paseo de Roxas Avenue intersection, right to Edsa if bound for Baclaran, then take the Buendia flyover if bound for Cubao.
For residents of Barangay Poblacion: Only vehicles of bona fide residents of Barangay Poblacion, VIPs, and guests will be allowed to enter and exit the road closure areas.
Traffic enforcers will be deployed to assist motorists and commuters.
Normal traffic flow will resume on June 30 (Sunday) at 6 p.m.
