Las Piñas City has recognized the delegates from the city who participated in the recently concluded World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) 2019.

Mayor Mel Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar presented the certificates of recognition from the city government to the delegates from Las Piñas in the recently concluded World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) 2019 held at Long Beach, California, USA. The awarding happened after the flag ceremony last Monday (August 5) at the Las Piñas City Hall Quadrangle.

WCOPA is an Olympic-style international competition for aspiring performers and entertainers held annually in the USA.

The delegates from Las Piñas who received awards in the said competition were Kendra Aguirre - winner of Bronze Award in Original Works with Self Accompaniment Category, Bronze in Broadway Category, Bronze in RnB/Soul/Jazz Category, and Silver Pin in the semi-finals; Chloe Mateo, multi-medalist; and Kyle Miguel Recio, multi-medalist.

Present during the awarding were Councilors Boboy Dela Cruz, Boni Riguera, Oca Peña, Peewee Aguilar, Ruben Ramos, Lord Aguilar, Rex Riguera, Danny Hernandez and Steve Miranda, Liga President Robert Cristobal and SK President Rachelle Dela Peña.
