Las Pinas inoculates 1,629 inmates
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said a total of 1,629 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) at the Las Pinas City Jail were vaccinated against COVID-19, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
Citing the City Health Office (CHO) report, Aquilar said 227 female inmates and 1,402 male inmates were inoculated against the dreaded disease.
The city government has included the inmates in its vaccination program to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the city.
The CHO has already vaccinated a total of 799, 531 individuals under the city government’s “Ligtas na LasPineros, Lahat Bakunado” program.
The mayor said 427, 276 residents received the first dose of the vaccine while 381,047 were fully vaccinated.
