The Department of the Interior and Local Government said workers of business establishments allowed to operate under the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) are not required to seek a travel authority from their barangays.

Malaya made the statement following reports of some residents falling in long queues in Rodriguez, Rizal still asking for travel authority from the local government unit.

Earlier, The DILG undersecretary said travel authority is only for those stranded individuals.
