Oil prices likely to rise again this week
Motorists should expect pump prices of petroleum products to go up big-time in the coming week, according to projections by Unioil Petroleum Philippines, according to a report by GMA News.
In its fuel price forecast for January 18 to 24 trading week, Unioil said the price per liter of diesel may go up by P1.70 to P1.80.
Gasoline prices, meanwhile, may increase by P0.90 to P1.00 per liter.
Oil companies usually announce price adjustments every Monday, to be implemented on the following day.
Fuel firms, effective January 11, hiked gasoline prices by P0.75 per liter and diesel by P1.00 to P1.10 per liter.
Year-to-date adjustments stand at a total net increase of P2.60 per liter for gasoline and P3.50 per liter for diesel.
