Two more regional wage boards have approved an increase in the salary of minimum wage earners ranging from P32 to P34, according to a report by Philippine News Agency.

According to Director Rolly Francia, Information and Publication Service (IPS), the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPBs) in Regions 4-B (Mimaropa) and 12 (Soccsksargen) have approved salary adjustments for private-sector employees last Friday.

He said the Board in Region 4-B also granted an increase in the take-home pay of domestic workers there.

The PHP35 wage increase was given under Wage Order No. RB-Mimaropa-10, bringing the new minimum wage rate to PHP329 for establishments with less than 10 workers and PHP355 for establishments employing 10 or more.

Also, the Board issued Wage Order No. RB-Mimaropa-DW-03 granting a monthly increase of PHP1,000, bringing the new monthly wage rate for domestic workers in the region to PHP4,500.

On the other hand, Wage Order No. RBXII-22 grants PHP32 wage increase to be given in tranches -- PHP16 upon the effectivity of the Wage Order and another PHP16 on September 1, 2022.

With the salary adjustment, the new minimum wage rate in Region XII is now PHP368 for the non-agriculture sector.

The new minimum salary of workers in agriculture/service/retail establishments is now PHP347.

Meanwhile, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) official added that the

RTWPB 2 (Cagayan Valley) also adjusted the monthly wage of domestic workers in the region.

Under Wage Order No. 02-DW-04 issued on May 18, 2022, it granted a PHP1,000 monthly wage increase for "kasambahays".

With the salary adjustment, the monthly minimum wage rate there is now PHP5,000 from PHP4,000 under the previous Wage Order.

Earlier, the RTWPBs in National Capital Region (NCR), Regions 1 (Ilocos Region), 2 (Cagayan Valley), 6 (Western Visayas), and Region 12 (Caraga) have also approved the increase in salaries of minimum wage workers.
